UC Davis ECE VTS Fellowship for Outstanding ECE Students
The application is now open for an exciting VTS fellowship opportunity open to current students enrolled with good standing in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UC Davis. VTS Fellowship is established by Valley Tech Systems (VTS) in Folsom, CA, in partnership with UC Davis.
Fellowship Benefits
If selected, the fellowship will cover 3 full quarters of full-time in-state tuition at UC Davis from Fall Quarter 2024 to Spring Quarter 2025. The VTS Fellow will also receive a generous monthly stipend of $1,100 as a graduate student or a monthly stipend of $600 as an undergraduate student. The entire fellowship award is valued at more than $24,000. There may also be additional Summer internship opportunities at VTS.
Eligibility
2024 VTS Fellowship for Outstanding ECE Senior Students
- Full-time students who are US citizens or legal permanent residents, enrolled as full time undergraduate students in SQ 2024 who plan to enter their final year in FQ 2024 are eligible. IDP students starting in 2024 are also eligible.
- Candidates are required to pursue signal or data processing as their primary research or academic interest.
2024 VTS Fellowship for Outstanding ECE Graduate Students
- Full-time student who is a US Citizen or legal permanent resident who will be full-time graduate studies in FQ 2024. IDP students starting in FQ 2024 are also eligible.
- Candidates are required to pursue signal or data processing as their primary research or academic interest.

Undergraduate Student Application
Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by the selection committee and final winner is expected to be announced by September 17, 2024.
Terms and Conditions
VTS fellows are required to pursue research and/or scholarly works of strong interests identified jointly by VTS and UC Davis, under the joint supervision of UC Davis ECE faculty member(s) and designated VTS researchers. The VTS fellows are expected to provide monthly technology interchange meetings where interim research topics, progress, and findings are shared. Each VTS fellow is required to submit a final report summarizing research conducted under fellowship support, 30 days before the end of their fellowship period. VTS fellows are expected to share research findings with VTS but retain the full rights to disseminate research findings in professional journals and/or conferences.
