Connie Duong Receives an Institute of International Education Graduate International Research Experiences Program Scholarship

Please join us in celebrating ECE Ph.D. student, Connie Duong, as the recipient of an Institute of International Education (IIE) Graduate International Research Experiences Program scholarship. Through a wide variety of educational programs sponsored by the U.S. government, corporations, foundations and foreign governments, the IIE annually works with thousands of U.S. and international educational institutions and more than 29,000 students, scholars, and professionals around the globe to promote the exchange of ideas and people.
Connie has been a Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Program under the mentorship of Prof. Raj Amirtharajah. She will be using the scholarship to support her studies on wireless power transfer using magnetoelectric antennas by collaborating with Prof. Stephen Beeby’s team of researchers in smart materials and wireless energy harvesting at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. Recently, Connie was the recipient of a Richard and Joy Dorf Engineering Fellowship Award.
