Michael Coffey ’84 Brings an Engineer’s Mind to Business

Accomplished AT&T executive Michael Coffey believes in the value of an engineer's education for finding success in life. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Davis, in 1984, and is now the recipient of the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Medal for an outstanding professional career and commitment to his alma mater.

Andy Botka '87 Dives Into the Deep End for Success

Michael Hurlston, B.S. '88, M.S. '91 in electrical and computer engineering, received the Cal Aggie Alumni Association Outstanding Alumnus Award the organization announced on March 2. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association, or CAAA, honoring the achievements and impact of outstanding alumni and friends of UC Davis.

Choosing to pursue electrical engineering was one of the best decisions Vanessa Liera '22 ever made because even though it brought big challenges, it brought her to amazing people, new experiences and a better future.
