A Veritable Treasure CHEST

Two more electrical and computer engineering alumni with connections to the Center for Hardware and Embedded Security and Trust, or CHEST, have secured faculty positions in academia mere months after graduation.

Biography: Danjue Li, M.S. '03, Ph.D. '07

Li, who was the first in her family to go to college, came to UC Davis in 2001, having immigrated from China, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.

Biography: Charles C. Nichols, B.S. '83, M.S '84

Charles Chuck Nichols is a longtime leader of California agriculture and the president of Nichols Farms, one of the largest family-owned pistachio growing, processing and marketing companies in the state.

Biography: Michael P. Coffey, B.S. '84

Michael Coffey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Davis, in 1984 and a master's degree in management from Golden Gate University before going on to a nearly 40-year career.
