Dr. Munday is interested in engineering the fundamental interaction between light and matter and applying this understanding to control quantum effects and for clean energy technologies. Specifically, the Munday group studies novel photonic, plasmonic, and quantum materials and seeks breakthrough energy generation and extraction technologies. This work merges physics and engineering to accomplish these goals.
