Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar

Dr. Abdel-Ghaffar is interested in understanding the structure of error-correcting codes, their decoding algorithms, and their applications. In particular, he does research on algebraic codes, low-density parity-check codes, error-detecting codes, deletion/insertion correcting codes, and their decoding. The goal of the research is to achieve reliable communication and data storage systems in the presence of noise.
