Bio
Professor Haley conducts theoretical research on superconducting micronetworks and devices and quantum networks and mesoscopic structures. In 1995, he discovered the fundamental phenomenon “quantized levitation,” and recently, he and Professor H. J. Fink showed that submicron width quantum Hall devices exhibit significant size effects and magnetic field oscillations. He developed the theory of internally orthogonal tracking solutions of the Schrvdinger equation, demonstrating that a solution subclass in which vector and scalar potentials are related and have minimum energy.
