EEC 136 A/B: Electronic Design Project
EEC 136 A/B is a senior capstone design project course focused on electronic systems. Teams of 3-4 students typically combine sensors, a microcontroller, and a wireless interface to create a system that accomplishes a specific task. Projects vary from year to year and can be developed by the students, are suggested by faculty in Electrical and Computer Engineering or other departments, or by mentors from industry.Students learn technical skills such as PCB design and assembly, microcontroller programming, and firmware development, and they also develop strengths in communication, teamwork, and entrepreneurship through networking events, poster and video presentations, and participation in business development competitions.
