Professor Hooman Rashtian Receives the 2019-20 College of Engineering Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Hooman Rashtian, Assistant Professor of Teaching Electrical and Computer Engineering at UC Davis, as the recipient of the 2019-20 College of Engineering Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award! 

"I am honored to receive this award! This recognition will put more responsibility on my shoulders to work harder toward achieving the goals of the college and department in improving students' academic experience at UC Davis," said Professor Rashtian. 

Dr. Rashtian received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2013 and was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Davis MM-Wave Research Center (DMRC) at University of California, Davis from 2014 to 2016. Since July 2016, he has been a member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Davis as an Assistant Professor of Teaching ECE. Since joining the ECE faculty, Professor Rashtian’s research focus is on curricular innovation for teaching undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering with a pedagogical emphasis on hands-on learning.
