UC Davis ECE Rising Star Alumni Award
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has a proud history of educating and nurturing technological innovators, leaders, and engineers for nearly 70 years. Our alumni base is strong and has made immense contribution to the development of cutting-edge technologies for the State and the Nation. Alumni support and mentoring of ECE students have been vital to the continued success of our mission.
To honor our alumni who have already shown tremendous potential in their own careers, the ECE Department is pleased to announce the establishment of UC Davis ECE Rising Star Alumni Award, inaugurated in 2021. This award recognizes recent alumni in the first phase of their career post-graduation who have already demonstrated accomplishments of strong impact or potential future impact in academia, industry, entrepreneurship, or civil services. Nominations of candidates may be submitted by students, alumni, and faculty. To be eligible, nominees should be within 10 years of receiving their last UC Davis undergraduate degree or within 8 years of receiving their last UC Davis graduate degree at the deadline of the nomination. Nominations may be submitted by current students, former students, postdocs, faculty members, or individuals with direct professional connection with the ECE department.

Nomination letters should be submitted in pdf format that contains the following information:
- Full name and contact information of the nominee
- Full name and contact information of the nominator
- Specific works and contributions of the nominee with strong impact or potential impacts
- Links to relevant websites, news releases, and other recognitions
- An additional letter of support from individuals with direct knowledge of the contribution
