UC Davis ECE Outstanding Alumni Mentor Award
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has a proud history of educating and nurturing technological innovators, leaders, and engineers for nearly 70 years. Our alumni base is strong and has made immense contribution to the development of cutting-edge technologies for the State and the Nation. Alumni support and mentoring of ECE students have been vital to the continued success of our mission.
To honor our alumni who have made tremendous contribution to the education and growth of ECE students by providing them with career advices, exciting opportunities, and mentorship, the ECE Department is pleased to announce the establishment of UC Davis ECE Outstanding Alumni Mentor Award, inaugurated in 2021. This award recognizes alumni who have engaged with the UC Davis ECE mentoring program to serve as student mentors, offer career opportunities and/or provide exceptional support in furthering the spirit, values, impacts, and visibility of the ECE Academic Programs. Nominations of candidates can be submitted by students, alumni, and faculty. To be eligible, a nominee should be a former student, postdoc, or faculty member of the ECE department, and have participated in active mentoring of ECE student(s) and/or mentor programs of UC Davis.
Nominate your fellow alumni for this award
Nomination letters should be submitted in pdf format that contains the following information:
- Full name and contact information of the nominee
- Full name and contact information of the nominator
- Specific activities and contributions of the nominee in terms of ECE student mentoring
- Names of mentored students (if available)
- 2 letters of support from other alumni, students, or others with direct knowledge of the mentorship activities.
