UC Davis ECE Award for Alumni Leadership in Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has a proud history of educating and nurturing technological innovators, leaders, and engineers for nearly 70 years. UC Davis ECE graduates have made remarkable contribution to the development of cutting edge technologies for the State and the Nation. Our alumni base is exceptionally strong and the department has benefited from the diverse and broad background of our alumni and students. The ECE Department is pleased to inaugurate the UC Davis ECE Award for Leadership in Promoting DEI. This award aims to recognize alumni, alumni organization, or supporters of the ECE Department who have contributed significantly to the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion in education, technology, entrepreneurship, and civil service. Nominations of candidates may be submitted by students, alumni, and faculty. To be eligible, a nominee may be an alumnus, an alumni organization, or a long term supporter of the ECE Department who has demonstrated dedication to the promotion of DEI in education, technology, entrepreneurship, and civil service to help members of society who face barriers to success because of societal disadvantages.

Nomination letters should be submitted in pdf format that contains the following information:
- Full name and contact information of the nominee
- Full name and contact information of the nominator
- Specific works and contributions of the nominee with strong impact or contributions to DEI
- Links to relevant websites, news releases, and other recognitions.
- An additional letter of support from individuals with direct knowledge of the contribution.
