The Cal Aggie Alumni Association, or CAAA, of the University of California, Davis, announced the recipients of its 48th annual Alumni Awards. 

UC Davis ECE is devoted to providing an inclusive STEM education. We recognize that women are an underrepresented group in STEM, and our goal is to provide women engineers strong support networks in order for them to feel like they are part of an inclusive community. Research shows that offering students the opportunity to conduct meaningful engineering activities with role models, can engage their interest and enthusiasm.

ECE alumna and information technology executive, Diane Bryant's historic $6.5 million gift to name the new Engineering Student Design Center at the University of California, Davis, aims to inspire women and other underrepresented students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM. It is the largest-ever single donation to the College of Engineering by an individual.
