College of Engineering professors organized the event that served as a primer on quantum computing and offered high schoolers a leg up on applying to UC Davis with tips and best practices for college applications.
Throughout the end of 2022, the College of Engineering funded a series of nine presentations from scholars across the globe and one professional from Google as part of its inaugural Quantum Information Science and Technology, or QuiST, Colloquium. The college recognized the effort as part of its Next Level strategic vision, which uplifts research and education that engineers a better world for all.
Luqi Wang has been awarded a 2022 Quantum Technologies Initiative Scholarship from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Antennas and Propagation Society, or IEEE AP-S. The $5,000 award from the AP-S Graduate Fellowship Program recognizes Wang’s demonstrated promise and interest in engineering electromagnetics with a focus on quantum technologies.
