Ph.D. Student Nguyen Nguyen Awarded the APMC 2020 Prize for Best Regular Paper

ECE Ph.D. student, Nguyen L.K. Nguyen, advised by Professor Anh-Vu Pham, was awarded the Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference 2020 (APMC 2020), Prize for the best regular paper under the Microwaves category. The paper titled, "A High Output Power 1 - 150 GHz Distributed Power Amplifier in InP HBT Technology,” co-authored by Nguyen L.K. Nguyen, Dr. Duy P. Nguyen, Dr. Alexander Stameroff, and Professor Anh-Vu Pham.

The 2020 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, sponsored by IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society and the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, is a premier international conference in microwaves, millimeter-waves, and beyond. This year's conference was held virtually in Hong Kong from December 8-11. There were more than 400 papers from 28 countries presented in 69 technical sessions surrounding the three major categories of Antennas, Microwaves, and Systems. In each of the three major categories, an APMC Prize for best regular paper and an APMC Student Prize for best student paper are awarded based on the evaluation of the novelty and originality of the work described in the paper and presented at the conference.
