Prof. Hooman Rashtian Awarded ASUCD Academic Excellence in Education Award

Dr. Hooman Rashtian, Assistant Professor of Teaching Electrical and Computer Engineering at UC Davis ECE, has been selected by the student body to receive the Associated Students of the University of California, Davis, (ASUCD) Excellence in Education Award for the College of Engineering, with which his extraordinary dedication to undergraduate education is recognized.

The award ceremony will be held Friday, May 17, at 6 p.m. in Haring Hall 2205 (doors open at 5:30 pm). The award ceremony will be preceded by a lecture from another faculty member, and awards will be presented at 7 p.m.

Dr. Rashtian received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2013 and was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Davis MM-Wave Research Center (DMRC) at University of California, Davis from 2014 to 2016. Since July 2016, he has been a member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Davis as an Assistant Professor of Teaching ECE.
